2012 AAM MUSE Awards

This was an exciting year at the American Association of Museums annual conference in Minneapolis. Bluecadet projects received four MUSE awards, hosted a session on creating interactive exhibits, and attended a party at the Minnesota History Center that included an elderly nun giving free massages.

Steve Hurwitz has an in-depth knowledge of Drupal and PHP, and joins the Bluecadet team as our senior web developer. He’s worked with Actionscript3, Drupal, PHP and more at Red Tettemer, TMX Interactive, and Paragraph Inc. He’s the head of our in-house Drupal development, so here’s a chance to see some of his great work on previous Drupal projects.

Bluecadet's newest designer comes to us fully trained in print and interactive design. Alex Bloom has a strong conceptual ability and a sharp graphical eye. He's a graduate of Tyler School of Art, and is well versed in UI/UX, branding & identity development, illustration, and advertising. See some of his earlier work, and stay tuned to see his upcoming efforts with Bluecadet.

We recently relaunched starvedforattention.org, with a fluid scrolling redesign and some fun HTML/jquery flairs. An initiative of Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and VII Photo, “Starved for Attention,” is a multimedia campaign exposing the neglected and largely invisible crisis of childhood malnutrition.
