Bluecadet Interactive

The University City District makes Philadelphia's University City a vibrant place to live, work, and play. They needed a website that reflected the quality and magnitude of the work that they do. Bluecadet created a dynamic, colorful, and content-rich site that does justice to UCD's many accomplishments in their neighborhood.

The site prominently features each of UCD's main initiatives, utilizing their impressive photography and a bright color scheme to make their content visually navigable. Because UCD does and documents so much, we built a simplified information architecture that lets users locate UCD's information easily and intuitively.

There's a quick links drop down menu that directs users directly to their destination. For finding events and things to do in University City, there's an interactive map that lets users locate places of interest in context, as well as a Yelp-integrated listing of restaurants, and an events calendar that draws automatically from relevant Philly Fun Guide entries.

The site features entirely new copy written for UCD by the Bluecadet team; an integrated, administrable blog; social media integration on the homepage; and a fully administrable back end in Drupal 7.
